KDRV, also known as Channel 12, is a prominent television station located in Medford, Oregon. As an affiliate of the ABC network, it is owned by Allen Media Broadcasting.

KDRV was founded on September 17, 1953, as KMED-TV. It was originally owned by the Medford Broadcasting Company. The station’s first broadcast was on September 17, 1953. KMED-TV was the first television station in Medford.

In 1974, KMED-TV was sold to Group W. In 1996, Group W was acquired by Westinghouse Electric Corporation. In 1999, Westinghouse Electric Corporation was acquired by CBS Corporation. In 2000, CBS Corporation spun off its television stations into a new company called CBS Corporation.

KDRV is now owned by Allen Media Broadcasting, which was created in 2014 when Gannett merged with Belo Corporation.

KDRV serves as the flagship station for the NewsWatch 12 television network, which encompasses KDKF (Channel 31) in Klamath Falls as well.
